Study of remunerative systems for collective work in Ujamaa Villages, 1975 : questionnaires, in Kiswahili, that interviewers completed in Ujamaa Villages in four regions of Tanzania, 1973-1975.

Some 1,000 peasant farmers were interviewed about a wide range of issues, including communal farming, level of satisfaction, crops produced, etc. Included in the front of box 1 are three publications based upon the survey. Two were published in the AFRICAN STUDIES REVIEW and one is chapter 6 (with appendix 2) of McHenry's book, TANZANIA'S UJAMAA VILLAGES, which describes the survey instruments and translates the questions. Also at the front of box 1 are photocopies of the codebook used for coding the questionnaires.
